From President Kristin York  6/25/19:

I would like to thank the club members and board of directors for making my year as president a memorable experience. Looking over all we have accomplished, this really does feel like a wonderful year of service.

Here is a quick overview of our completed projects and events:
  • End Hunger in Montgomery County– a district grant project that we participated in financially, as volunteers, and in partnerships with other Rotary Clubs. We even had one of our Interact students come out to volunteer for this event!
  • Supporting Foster Families through Transitions– a district grant project that provided 18 kit/boxes to the Fiaria Project – (each box contained a sleeping pad, cotton fitted sheet, a cotton swaddle, a hooded towel set, a onesie, a footie, a footie or coverall, cotton pants, a bandana bib, a hat, a glass baby bottle, a pacifier, hand socks, a teether bracelet, a 24 pack of NE sized huggies diapers, a refillable huggies clutch with 32 wipes, a baby nail clipper, a thermometer, and 2 nipple pads.) These boxes help make the placement transition easier for foster families in Bucks County, Montgomery County and the Philadelphia area.
  • Yvette Palmer Purple Pinkie 5K – Participants  -  two races (held on October 6th and October 13th) used to raise money to fight Polio. Individual club members participated by running/walking, while the club as a whole donated a $1500 sponsorship.
  •  Updated bylaws– a project attempting to revise our bylaws to match what we currently do as a club. A big shout out and thank you to Chris, Mohana, Les, and Michael for the months they spent working on this project!
  • Dental Hygiene Interviewing at MC3 - Participants– a project sponsored by the Blue Bell club  which provided mock interviews to students graduating from the dental hygiene program at Montgomery County Community College. Club members spent over 16 hours interviewing students.
  • Manna on Main Street service Tuesdays– a reoccurring service project, where we served food to our neighbors in need.
  • Reds, Whites, & Rock fundraiser – a night of wine, rock, and great food! This event raised approximately $10,000 for the club and helped us fund the Kelly Ann Dolan Foundation & Easter Seals of Southeast PA donations this year. Thank you Bob for once again spearheading this project.
  • Lansdale Day– a celebration of community and art, not to mention our longest running fundraiser! Another fantastic year, this event raised approximately $20,000 for the club. Tammy, thank you again!
  • Highway CleanUp
  • 2019 Rotary District 7430 Conference – Participants– - a district event that included a Food Drive. Because of our participation at this year’s conference, $913.91 are coming back to the club to be utilized to implement hunger projects.
581 hours of service has been logged by North Penn Rotarians this year!

Thank you again! It has been an honor serving as your president
